Honda expands the range of Civic Diesel with a new automatic transmission. The transmission has as many as nine stages and is powered by a 1.6 and-DTEC engine. It is now available for purchase.

The 1.6-liter diesel Honda Civic i-DTEC is now available with an efficient nine-speed automatic transmission that provides high smoothness of gear shifting. Measured according to current procedures, the average fuel consumption is 4.1 l / 100 km for all levels of equipment of both versions of the body – sedan and hatchback.

The debut of this transmission, in this model, is not an event. For the first time, a combination of a diesel engine and an automatic transmission appeared in the Civic.
Thanks to a wide range of gear ratios, the nine-speed transmission reduces combustion. A very low gear ratio in first gear ensures smooth and dynamic acceleration from the spot, and a high gear ratio, upper stroke – low engine speed while driving, which leads to reduced fuel consumption and reduced noise.

The maximum power of the 1.6 l I-DTEC engine is 120 HP at 4000 rpm, and the torque is 300 Nm at 2000 rpm. the Civic, equipped with a nine-speed automatic transmission, accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 11 seconds, and its maximum speed is 200 km/h.
