At the Frankfurt motor show, Honda will present a prototype of the CR-V hybrid version. This will be the first Honda SUV in Europe that uses an electric drive. The prototype style is also a harbinger of the European version of the new generation CR-V.

The CR-V Hybrid prototype will be shown in Europe for the first time. The silhouette of the car, which belongs to the current generation of the model, has a fairly evolutionary style. The new CR-V is larger, taller and longer than the previous version, has updated body lines and a better position, thanks in particular to wider and wider wings.
The main thing, however, in this case is under the hood. The two-engine i-MMD (Intelligent Multi-Mode Drive) system, in the CR-V hybrid model, consists of an electric drive engine, which is a four-cylinder two-liter I-VTEC gasoline engine running in the Atkinson cycle. It is used for generating electricity and for powering the car.

The hybrid system does not need a conventional transmission – it is equipped with a single-speed transmission that allows you to smoothly transfer torque between all the components of the transmission.
